Hollywoodiennes, the musical that puts women in power

"Hollywoodiennes" is the very first musical by the Classe Libre collective. Playing at several venues in and around Paris, it premiered on May 24 at the Apollo Théâtre.

Hollywoodiennes, a musical set during the 1958 Oscar nominee announcement ceremony , opened at the Apollo Théâtre, and will subsequently be performed in several Parisian venues. Created by the La Classe Libre collective, the musical puts women in the driver's seat .

La Classe libre, a non-profit association founded in 2023 by Adrien Gahinet & Charlotte Bouder, set up a collaborative artistic creation workshop with the aim of writing and directing a musical. Hollywoodiennes was born. We're plunged into 1958, during the Oscar nomination ceremony. The Dustry Company's "Vile Gladiators" is the favorite everyone's talking about, and is likely to win all the nominations. But a scandal erupts in the middle of the ceremony, and all is disrupted. The film receives appalling reviews and is even canceled in all theaters in the southern United States. The day after the ceremony, Dustry Company is devastated and has to face up to the catastrophe...

For 2 hours, with an intermission, you'll meet 16 artists on stage and discover 16 songs .
