Following on from Halloween, RATP is taking the festive season by storm, offering a host of events on its Paris network during the period. The program includes a number of toy collections for children, as well as magical decorations and music, festive poems and even an ephemeral ski station in metro and RER stations until mid-December. RER A will be collecting toys for children at Trousseau hospital on Wednesday December 11 and 18 at Val d'Europe station.
In partnership with Secours Populaire, the RER B is setting up its Christmas train to welcome young passengers fromOrsay and Les Ulis on a magical journey in the company of Santa Claus. Before boarding, children are invited to make a donation to the Secours Populaire toy drive on Saturday December 14 at 10 a.m.
From December 20 to January 5, Line 1 passengers will be treated to "Jingle Bells" and festive music.
Metro lines 3 and 3Bis are holding a toy drive to raise funds for children in hospital at the CHI André Grégoire, from December 10 to 15, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, Gambetta station.
In partnership with the Margency Children's Hospital - Croix Rouge Française, line 5 will be collecting new toys for hospitalized children on December 18, from 1pm to 6pm, at Bastille station.
Line 11 is organizing a collection of new toys to benefit children at Necker hospital, Rosny-Bois-Perrier station, on the weekend of December 14-15, from 2pm to 6pm.
A musical voyage presented by the Harmonie RATP will await passengers at Auber station on December 13 from 6pm, conducted by Jérôme Hilaire.
The window of Pyramides station will host a magical animated décor, worthy of department store Christmas windows. This year, travelers can discover a snow-covered amusement park featuring models of historic rolling stock. From December 14 to January 20, curious visitors can try to find Serge the Rabbit, hidden in the décor.
A snowball fight, visible from the platforms, will be projected at the Madeleine station from December 15 to January 5, to amaze the youngest travelers during the festive season.
From December 15 to January 5, an enchanted forest will take over the staircase leading down to the mezzanine at Bercy station.
The Glacière metro station will be transformed into a ski resort, offering passengers a snowy break. The program includes a ski simulator, a photocall in a gondola, and other surprises, from December 18 to 20.
The holiday spirit will be celebrated for all travelers with decorations and surprises, between December 16 and 21.
