The year 2025 promises to be rich in changes and novelties for public transport in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. While some of the news, such as the new increase in the Navigo pass fare, is not to the delight of users, others are more cause for celebration, including line extensions and openings. Many changes will affect public transport in the Île-de-France region in 2025. Fares, tickets, line extensions and new projects: here's everything you need to know.

What are the new single ticket prices?

Single tickets will evolve with two new simplified tickets:

  • Ticket Métro-Train-RER: at a single price of €2.50, it allows you to travel on all metro, train and RER lines in the Île-de-France region.
  • Ticket Bus-Tram: at €2, it gives access to all bus and streetcar lines.

These tickets will gradually replace the old t+ ticket books, which will be phased out.

  • Origin-Destination tickets.

These cuts are designed to simplify the offer and encourage the use of the new tickets.

When will Pass Liberté + be available on smartphones?

From spring 2025, Île-de-France public transport users will be able to use their smartphones to validate their journeys thanks to the Pass Navigo Liberté+. This innovation, announced by Île-de-France Mobilités, will enable the pass to be loaded and used directly from Android and iOS devices, simplifying access to the metro, RER, bus and streetcar networks. This dematerialization is part of a broader approach to fare simplification planned for January 2025, aimed at facilitating and modernizing the experience of travelers in Île-de-France.
