If you're planning to take the RER or a Transilien train this Friday, December 13, 2024, then you'll need to plan ahead. Due to a nationwide industrial action at SNCF, disruptions are once again expected on the Transilien network.
" As part of a nationwide industrial action, train and RER traffic will improve, but will remain disrupted on some of the lines operated by Transilien SNCF Voyageurs for Île-de-France Mobilités on Friday, December 13, 2024 ," says SNCF on the Transilien website. In detail, this strike action will impact train traffic on several Transilien lines, namely the H and N lines.
This strike by SNCF railway workers, maintained by the CGT and Sud-Rail unions, will also affect the RER network in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Slight disruptions are expected on RER line C, while traffic on RER line D will continue to be"very heavily disrupted".
So what exactly can we expect this Friday on the Île-de-France transport network? On Transilien line H, traffic will be expected to average one train in two. By contrast, traffic will be normal on the Pontoise/Creil line. On line N, traffic will be slightly disrupted, with three trains out of four.
On RER D, the RER line most affected by the strike, there will be one train in three between Creil and Corbeil-Essonnes via Evry-Courcouronnes, one train in two between Goussainville and Melun, and one train in three between Corbeil-Essonnes and Melun (only between 6 and 9 a.m. and between 5 and 8 p.m.). Between Juvisy and Malesherbes via Ris-Orangis, where there were no trains on Thursday, Transilien is planning two trains out of five on this route. On the RER C, two trains out of three are expected on average, as on Thursday.
