Annecy International Animated Movie Festival – said to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year – will air online for the first time ever. Let’s discover together the first part of the program of the festival that will air online from June 15 to 30, 2020.

As the Annecy International Animated Movie Festival would have celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, the health conditions do not allow the organization of an on-site festival before summer. But postponing the festival was not an option for organizers. The event will then take place online: “We took the decision not to move the Festival to a later date. The necessary facilities and the regular events’ calendar, as well as scheduled postponements of other events, do not provide us with a reasonable option.”

The program initially planned for the 60th anniversary of the festival and expected to celebrate African animation is postponed to 2021. Yet, a brand-new festival – that is being organized online on a platform still being developed – will take place from June 15 to 30, 2020.

Program 2020:

The Festival was sent over 3,000 movies, including all categories, from 94 countries (the most represented: France, the United-Sates, the United-Kingdom, Canada, Germany, China, South Korea).
