Here's a most unexpected marriage... LEGO Group and Epic Games have teamed up to bring the video game publisher's Battle Royale a completely crazy mode: LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. A new Battle Royal game mode, integrated just days after the release of Chapter 5 season 1, Subversion, scheduled for release on Fortnite on December 7, 2023. A first trailer was also unveiled on December 6, to get players in the mood.
What does this game mode involve? Nothing very different from the classic Battle Royale: you'll have to outlast your opponents while creating numerous constructions. Explore the vast worlds on offer"where the magic of LEGO construction blends with the fabulous world of Fortnite", as explained in a press release fromEpic Games. Note that this game mode has been designed so that people of all ages can have fun together... Ideal for introducing children to Fortnite without throwing them straight into the deep end. Remember, though, that the mode is rated PEGI 7... Still, not for everyone.
Note that LEGO Fortnite also wants to encourage"creativity, experimentation and collaboration through play". And a long-term partnership between Epic and The LEGO Group that should delight the greatest number, at least, for sure, LEGO and Fortnite fans... To your controllers!
