But the Arthur Awards, which annually reward the best international players in live music, have revealed the names of the nominees for the 2025 edition. And surprise, surprise, a French festival is among the 8 finalists, in the"Best Festival" category. Drum roll... it's Hellfest! The famous festival dedicated to extreme music, which takes place every summer in Clisson, has the honor of being one of the 8 nominees and could win the title of World's Best Festival 2025.
But Hellfest is up against 7 other prestigious music festivals: FM4 Frequency Festival in Austria, Lollapalooza Berlin in Germany, NOS Alive in Lisbon, Portugal, Primavera Sound in Spain, Rock in Rio in Brazil, Sziget in Hungary and TRNSMT in Glasgow, Great Britain. So, Hellfest needs you! Internet users are invited to vote now for their favorite festival on the dedicated platform.
A French festival has already won this prestigious award. Les Eurockéennes de Belfort was crowned"best festival in the world" at the Arthur Awards in 2020. The Arthur Awards ceremony, organized as part of the 37thInternational Live Music Conference (ILMC), is scheduled for February 27 in London.
