June is the month when the hustle and bustle begins! At this time of year, the number of outings and events in the capital, both indoors and out, is on the rise. Parisians are also smiling, as June marks the beginning of summer!
In June, music also takes center stage in Paris and elsewhere in the Ile-de-France region, thanks to the Fête de la Musique and the many festivals scattered throughout the region. In the meantime, concerts continue in concert halls, with eclecticism the order of the day. French variety, rock, K-pop, metal, electro, rap, R&B, classical music, blues, jazz? All styles are represented, to satisfy the tastes and desires of as many people as possible.
And there's no shortage of concert halls and concert venues in Paris and the Paris region to welcome national and international artists. These include, of course, the Paris La Défense Arena, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department, and theAccor Arena, a not-to-be-missed venue nestling in the east of the capital. Other venues also feature live music. These include the Zenith de Paris,Olympia, Philharmonie, Salle Pleyel, Trianon, Folies Bergère, Grand Rex andÉlysée Montmartre.
Those who prefer more intimate venues are also spoilt for choice, thanks to La Maroquinerie, La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Gaîté Lyrique, La Boule Noire or Petit Bain and Cabaret Sauvage.
So many venues are happy to welcome prestigious artists, as has been the case in recent months. Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, Sum 41, Nick Cave, Lindsey Stirling, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Beth Gibbons, PJ Harvey and Shaka Ponk are just some of the artists who have recently made Paris their home for one or more nights.
