July is often a hot and sunny month. While some sunbathe in the capital's parks and gardens, others try to cool off with tons of ice cream. There are also plenty of outings and events to keep those who stayed in Paris in the middle of summer happy.
In July, music is also in the spotlight in Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, with several concerts scheduled, notably at the Stade de France. The famous stadium in Seine-Saint-Denis takes advantage of the summer to welcome a number of major international artists and groups. In recent years, Harry Styles, Depeche Mode, Muse, Rammstein, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay have all taken to the Stade de France's huge arena!
But several other concert and show venues are also there, ready to welcome artists. These include the Paris La Défense Arena in the Hauts-de-Seine department, and theAccor Arena in the east of Paris. Other venues also feature live music every summer. These include the Zenith de Paris,Olympia, Philharmonie, Salle Pleyel, Trianon, Folies Bergère, Grand Rex andÉlysée Montmartre.
Music lovers preferring more intimate venues are also spoilt for choice, thanks to La Maroquinerie, La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Gaîté Lyrique, La Boule Noire or Petit Bain and Cabaret Sauvage.
