L'Odyssée sensorielle, the immersive exhibition event at the Muséum de Paris - last days!

When we visit an exhibition, we're used to looking at the works. How about being able to smell and hear them too? The Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris offers you this unique, immersive experience. An exhibition that appeals to our senses, for an incredible rediscovery of the living world.

Visit the four corners of the planet, admiring the flora and fauna of oceans, deserts, deep forests or sunny plains: take part in a wonderful journey, without leaving Paris. From October 23, 2021, until July 4, 2022, we'll be camping out in front of the Museum to take full advantage of the Sensory Odyssey exhibition. What would you say to strolling along the shores of a Kenyan salt lake, in the depths of the ocean, on the canopy of the rainforest or in the far north and below the surface of the earth? Let us take you on a journey through these extraordinary worlds, punctuated byhigh-definition images.

Study the life of insects in a meadow or pause to admire the slow movements of sloths in the jungle. Observe the ballet of whales underwater, watch the savannah live by night... Immerse yourself in these worlds entirely thanks to thesoundscapes of each ecosystem, recreated from natural ambiences. But that's not all!

Immersion wouldn't be complete without a unique olfactory ambience, a surprising novelty factor that the Muséum national has added to this already extraordinary exhibition.

Follow the trail, let your senses and emotions carry you along, and feel the deep connection that humans have with the living world, even in the middle of the city. The scientific aspect of the exhibition puts words and explanations to these natural phenomena that we perceive unconsciously. The museum's scientific experts also give us precise descriptions of the ecosystems we've passed through and admired.

Directors, museographers, set designers, engineers and developers, neuroscientists, visual artists, perfumers, sensory special effects creators and Museum researchers have worked hand in hand to create this unique immersive exhibition, which is set to become the event of this autumn 2021.
