To celebrate its 200th anniversary, the Musée national de Céramique de Sèvres is pulling out all the stops and opening its "Wonders" exhibition to the public, showcasing hundreds of works from its incredible collection, from prehistory to the present day.

The Musée national de Céramique, located in Sèvres, has been open to the public since 1824 and houses a fabulous collection of objects including ceramics, of course, but also graphic arts, paintings and samples of raw materials, dating from prehistoric times to the present day, from all over the world. To celebrate its bicentenary, the museum has designed an exhibition around its Wonders, presented from October 11, 2024 to March 10, 2025.

The public can enjoy a real journey through almost 500 unusual, poetic and strange treasures from the museum's storerooms, presented in 10 different tableaux that tell the story of the museum, which for the occasion becomes a veritable cabinet of curiosities. Visitors pass through the Cabinet du Savant, Les Lointains, La Maison des Contes, Les Inattendus, La Vie en Rose, Le Pouvoir des Fleurs, Tout ce qui Brille, Joyeux Anniversaire, la Chambre des Merveilles and the Galerie de Portraits.

A glimpse of the museum's heritage, which suggests that 200 years of exhibitions are still to come. In the meantime, let's browse through the exhibition and its merry bazaar, which promises to be absolutely fascinating to discover! A creative program accompanies the exhibition, featuring poetic installations, performances and artists' creations, to celebrate this anniversary in style!
