Attention craft lovers and fans of the Tolkien universe: in Paris, the Collège des Bernardins is hosting a free exhibition of tapestries inspired by the universe imagined by the father of Fantasy. Visit us from March 21 to May 18, 2025 to discover "Aubusson Tisse Tolkien".

From The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R Tolkien 's work is firmly anchored in pop culture, and has inspired a number of film adaptations, including Peter Jackson's two trilogies. Considered the father of Fantasy, the famous British author is renowned for having imagined an extraordinarily complete fictional universe that has fascinated generation after generation.

At the Collège des Bernardins in Paris, you'll find a free exhibition that pays tribute to Tolkien's work, and showcases the skills and craftsmanship of Aubusson weavers. We invite you to join us from March 21 to May 18, 2025, to conquer the"Aubusson Tisse Tolkien" exhibition.

In the beautiful medieval vaults of the Collège des Bernardins, you'll discover some 15 carpets and tapestries created by the Cité internationale de la tapisserie, featuring landscapes inspired by the world of J.R.R Tolkien. An original way to immerse yourself in Middle-earth! The exhibition is accompanied by a special program of concerts, readings, films and an international symposium.
