After a nice ramen or a sushi platter in rue Sainte-Anne, there’s nothing like finishing on a sweet note at Aki Boulanger.
This French-Japanese bakery doesn’t play the truism card since alongside its French artisanal and rather classic breads (baguettes, cereal breads), we find Japanese breads and pastries! Think: Japanese green tea and white chocolate brioches, melon breads, adzuki and rose brioches, green tea viennoiseries… How exotic!
Aki Boulanger also is a master in the art of pastry: marbled matcha/adzuki paste cake; yuzu cornet cream (a milk roll stuffed with yuzu pastry cream); adzuki donuts; matcha roll cake… An explosion of exotic flavors. Let’s say it straight, we don’t know where to start!
And it’s not over since the bakery also enjoys revisiting French pastry classics, twisted with Japanese flavors: yuzu éclair, matcha éclair, matcha choux bun, matcha mille-feuilles… You get it, at Aki Boulanger they’re gaga of matcha!
Or maybe you can go for the green tea Opéra cake or the Aki-Brest, both super tasty?
It’s hard to leave this institution without having your arms full of good things. To be enjoyed on your way back or directly on the spot while enjoying the sun on the terrace!
