Between tradition and modernity, Maison Kapunka opens a new Thai restaurant in Strasbourg Saint-Denis.

It's going to be a spicy autumn on the Strasbourg Saint-Denis side with the opening of Maison Kapunka, the fourth of its kind and parent company of the group of the same name owned by Laurent Casanovas, also head of Maison Lautrec and Django Pigalle. After the 2nd, 14th and 17th arrondissements, this new Thai address opens in the capital's 10th arrondissement.

A veritable dining bar, Maison Kapunka aims to bring true Thai cuisine to Parisian palates, revisiting traditional flavors with a contemporary twist. In the kitchen, the menu is prepared by chef Barbara Lecestre and the Thai cooks whose recipes come from their families and who have been present at Kapunka since the very beginning.

The result is dishes at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, such as crispy eggplant with burnt lemon mayonnaise; marinated egg, mustard pickles, chili oil and tamarind celery; or lean crudo with hibiscus vinaigrette.

All served in the form of small plates to be shared among guests and accompanied without batting an eyelid by a spicy cocktail or a glass of natural wine. Street-food fans will also be delighted to discover the Thai sandwiches available to take away!

In a sober Thai bistro atmosphere, designed by architecture studio Lizée Hugot, Maison Kapunka will put your taste buds to the test!
