The LOEWE FOUNDATION presents the 30 winners of the Craft Prize 2024, in an exhibition running until June 9 at the Palais de Tokyo. This year's prize honors modern, unconventional artist-craftsmen who exploit the reuse of unexpected materials and a multitude of media, from ceramics to jewelry to furniture, all in the avant-garde spirit of the Maison.

Away from the beaten track, this year's Craft Prize rewards artists working on the valorization and transformation of unexpected materials, such as rubber tires or compressed wood. Art rises from the improbable, as organic sculptures push back the boundaries of creativity and traditional design.

Cast? Artists from 16 countries and regions, hand-picked by a panel of experts, compete in ingenuity, working in a multitude of media: ceramics, wood, textiles, furniture, paper, basketry, glass, metal, jewelry, lacquer and leather.

The Craft Prize, a true testament to the brand's commitment to fine craftsmanship, celebrates the excellence and innovation of modern craftsmanship. Launched in 2016 by the LOEWE FOUNDATION, this annual prize pays tribute to the brand's pioneering spirit from its humble beginnings in 1846.

Jonathan Anderson, LOEWE's Creative Director, conceived the award to recognize visionary artists who dare to defy convention in line with the House's philosophy.
