Paris 2024 Olympics: Paris-Beauvais airport shuttle, temporary closure of the Porte Maillot stop

Bad news for travelers used to taking the shuttle between Paris and Beauvais airport. Since May 10, 2024 and for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the stop located at Porte Maillot is no longer served. So what are the alternatives? We answer.

It's a popular shuttle for travelers arriving from Beauvais airport to the capital, and vice versa. But here's the problem. Since May 10, 2024, the Porte Maillot stop on line A01 has no longer been served. This temporary interruption will continue for the duration of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

" Due to the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, the A01 Paris-Beauvais Airport ↔ Paris Porte Maillot line will be temporarily transferred," reads the official Paris-Beauvais airport website.

But what are the alternatives? Because of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Porte Maillot stop has been transferred to La Défense, located more exactly next to the Grande Arche, and accessible via the RER A and E, metro line 1 or tramway T2.

However, for this A03 line, which runs between La Défense and Paris-Beauvais airport, online booking is compulsory. No tickets will be sold on site. In addition, only a maximum of 20 round trips per day will be offered.

Another possible stop? Saint-Denis Université on line A02. For this shuttle, accessible via metro line 13 and T1, online reservations are not required. Paris-Beauvais airport is also announcing a much more frequent aerobus service, with " up to 80 round trips " per day. The official website also states that "it is advisable to book a departure from Paris Saint-Denis University at least 3 hours before your plane takes off ".

Line A02 Aéroport Paris-Beauvais ↔ Paris Saint-Denis Université (Rue Toussaint Louverture, 93200 Saint-Denis)

Up to 80 round trips per day are offered, with tickets available online or on site at Paris-Beauvais airport. Tickets are valid until September 30, 2024.

- Online: adult single €16.90 / return €29.90, child (4-11) single €9.90 / return €19.90, baby (0-3) free
- At the bus station: adult one-way €18 / return €35, child (4-11) one-way €18 / return €35, baby (0-3) free
Timetable:
- From Paris Saint-Denis University: 3:00, 3:30 then every 15 minutes from 5:00 until 19:30 (last departure)
- From Paris-Beauvais Airport: every 15 minutes from 8:00 to 23:30 (last departure)

Line A03 Aéroport Paris-Beauvais ↔ Paris La Défense (1 rond-point de la Défense, 92400 Courbevoie)
