Once again this year, the fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower on July 14th was the highlight of a day of commemoration to mark the French national holiday. Parisians were able to admire the colorful spectacle from the capital's best spots, for almost 35 minutes this year! But how much does this traditional event cost the city of Paris?
As in previous years, the French group Ruggieri, specialists in the design of pyrotechnic shows, gave way to Groupe F for the organization of the fireworks display. In addition to the thousands of colors exploding in the sky, we were treated to an exceptional show of moving drones, synchronized with the fireworks.
This is enough to raise the bill a little, which had come down in 2023 to 600,000 euros. This means that 700,000 euros will be needed for the sound and light show, which will be longer than before, back to the 2017 budget, according to Le Figaro. It's worth noting that it's the security arrangements that are particularly costly for this event, as almost 300,000 people were expected to come to the capital to watch it.
The fireworks themselves cost around 300,000 euros, while the budget for July 14th celebrations is lower than ever before, in these times of cost-cutting.
