Fête de la musique 2024 in Paris: open-air concerts in the Jardin du Luxembourg

Once a year, budding musicians and amateur singers are invited to take to the streets to celebrate music in all its forms. For over 40 years now, the Fête de la Musique has been celebrated all over France to the delight of music lovers. Launched in 1982 by former French Minister of Culture Jack Lang, the Fête de la Musique has come a long way over the years, to the point of being exported abroad. It has to be said that the concept of the Fête de la musique has proved very popular.

Every June 21, the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to showcase your talent to the greatest number of people, or to discover up-and-coming artists. From rock and rap to classical, jazz, blues, zouk, electro and French variety... all styles are in the spotlight on June 21, in the streets of course, but also in churches, museums, parks and gardens.

This year, the Jardin du Luxembourg opens its doors to a number of musical highlights to mark the Fête de la Musique. Considered by many tourists as"the most beautiful garden in Europe", the Jardin du Luxembourg attracts many visitors every year. Located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris and extending over 23 hectares, the Luxembourg Garden was created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Médicis to accompany the Luxembourg Palace.

OnFriday June 21, 2024, music will resound in the Jardin du Luxembourg for the new Fête de la Musique. On the program? A concert to honor the struggle of women in Iran and elsewhere, to be discovered at the kiosk in the Jardin du Luxembourg, as well as a queer jazz pop concert by a Taiwanese group.

  The concert will take place around 9:00 pm, acoustically, at an entrance to the Jardin du Luxembourg. It will last 30 minutes. The band will perform six songs while playing their musical instruments, including both original compositions and covers of Mandarin Pop classics from the 2000s.

  "RainDayPreparation" is a jazz pop band born in Taiwan in 2022. In rainy, gloomy Taipei, their mission is to "share the public's concerns on rainy days" as their main objective.

  Their musical style blends jazz and soul, continually creating extraordinary and unique sounds through soulful collisions between band members.

  The music of "RainDayPreparation" will transport us into another dimension, leaving behind all distractions, allowing us to deeply feel the present moment.
