The Cannes Film Festival 2024 has revealed the names of the members who will make up the feature film jury for this 77th edition , to be held on the Croisette from May 14 to 25, 2024. An announcement eagerly awaited by cinephiles!
The name of the jury president had already been known for several weeks: Greta Gerwig, the American director behind, among other films, Barbie, one of last year's biggest box office hits worldwide.
Alongside him, 8 members will have the tough task of deciding between the 22 films in competition to award the Palme d'Or for this 2024 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as other prestigious prizes - the Grand Prix, the Prix du Jury, the Prix de la Mise en Scène, the Prix du Scénario and the Prix d'interprétation masculine and feminine.
The members of the Cannes 2024 Festival jury are: Turkish screenwriter and photographer Ebru Ceylan, American actress Lily Gladstone, French actress Eva Green, Lebanese director and screenwriter Nadine Labaki, Spanish director, producer and screenwriter Juan Antonio Bayona, Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino, Japanese director Kore-Eda Hirokazu, and French actor and producer Omar Sy.
