With its magnificent historic center and bucolic riverbanks, Moret-sur-Loing is a must-see medieval village in the Paris region, whether you're looking for a long weekend or a short week's vacation.
Between theancient keep, theexceptional abbey church (and its ruby-colored stained glass windows, which give a very poetic color to the nave), the banks of the Loing, the medieval gates... Truly, Moret-sur-Loing doesn't hold the title of most beautiful village in France for nothing. So, if you fancy a weekend away, why not check out the Courtilles du Lido campsite, just 15 minutes from the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons train station (line R of the Transilien from Gare de Lyon) and half an hour's walk from downtown Moret.

Here, for a very reasonable budget (from €14 for a night in a tent for an adult), this 3*** campsite offers a wide range of services: swimming pool open all day, loan of tennis rackets and table tennis, children's play areas, pétanque courts, mini-golf... And if you'd like to discover the surrounding area of Môret, the Fontainebleau forest, its hikes and greatclimbing spots, the campsite team is on hand to advise you, and official maps are available at reception! At reception, you'll also find a range of board games and other wooden games freely available on the terrace.
"The aim is to turn it into a real campsite, in the traditional sense of the word", explains the manager of Les Courtilles. "Here, there are no mobile homes stuck together, and we leave plenty of room for pitches dedicated to tents and campervans", he explains. And they're not the only ones: for the 2024 season, the campsite has been given a facelift, with a new, more modern and, above all, eco-responsible look.
You can opt for a comfortable mobile home rental or, more adventurous, a pitch rental. Les Courtilles du Lido now also offers more unusual accommodation, with Cosy Mobiles, small caravans for two people. The campsite is a very pleasant place to be, even if you're parking your camper van or pitching your tent: even though they're right next to each other, the pitches are well delineated, with large leafy hedges offering privacy (and peace and quiet!).
All day long, the reception serves beers and other cold drinks , and since the campsite reopened in spring 2024, it has also become a restaurant . Also this year, the campsite's beautiful terrace, perfect for a summer evening, has been given a makeover and now serves as a brazier, designed to reproduce the atmosphere of small guinguettes. But what we love most of all is the5-star welcome we receive at reception all day long, with smiling, friendly staff ready to find a solution to any problem you may have (including in several languages).
As the Courtilles du Lido campsite underwent major renovations during the winter of 2024 (showers, renovation of mobile homes, reception, creation of a restaurant, etc.), the photos in this article are no longer (at least some of them) completely up to date, as they were taken during the summer of 2023.
If you're looking for a great place to pitch your tent or park your camper van in the Moret-sur-Loing area, we can't recommend this friendly, pleasant campsite highly enough. If you're passing through Moret or planning a stay in the area in the near future, go for it!
