Are you dreaming of Viennese balls, and feeling like Sissi the Empress? Then head to the Pavillon Dauphine on Saturday June 8, 2024, to attend the traditional Bal des Parisiennes. The venue, just a stone's throw from the Bois de Boulogne, invites music and dance lovers to this exceptional, fairytale-like evening.
Like Shanghai, Montreal, New York, Moscow and Rome, Paris has been hosting this world-class event since 2015. The Bal Viennois de Paris, placed under the patronage of the Austrian Embassy, Vienna City Hall and Stéphane Bern, aims to revive the French ball tradition by combining dance, music, gastronomy and the brilliance of Parisian fashion, all in an emblematic venue in the capital.
Unlike other galant events such as the Bal des Débutantes, the Bal des Parisiennes is open to all enthusiasts and the curious, with reservations required.
Throughout the evening, the highlights of an authentic Viennese ball are revealed, including the opening march of the Débutants, an opera recital, the polka and waltz of the Débutants, and ballets from the Paris Opera. The Parisian edition's special feature? Dance halls reserved for rock and swing, demonstrations of lindy hop, tango or rock, not to mention a parade of marvellous dresses.
And if you opt for the prestige package, a gala dinner, by the prestigious Traiteur Saint-Clair, will be served in the grand gallery of the Pavillon Dauphine, so you won't miss a moment of the festivities, and you'll be able to keep up the pace until the end of the night!
