The Fête de la Science is an opportunity to learn more about the world around us, withfun activities for young and old, over the course of a weekend, at universities, research centers and science museums in and around Paris. For this 32nd edition, rediscover this incredible Art Deco building, originally designed for the1931 Colonial Exhibition. Renamed in turn "musée des colonies et de la France extérieure", "musée de la France d'outre-mer", "musée des Arts africains et océaniens" and "musée national des Arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie", the Palais de la Porte Dorée as we know it today was finally inaugurated in 2007.
It also houses theTropical Aquarium, one of the oldest in the world, and a whole aquatic world to discover! Hundreds of species of seaweed and marine animals from various tropical habitats, such as coral reefs, mangroves and seaweed forests, are on display all year round. Exotic creatures such as clownfish, stingrays, lionfish, sharks and many more can be seen at exhibitions and activities for all ages.
