When a passion for pastry meets a commitment to the environment, the magic happens at the Villa René Lalique. To celebrate Easter 2024, Nicolas Multon, the renowned pastry chef of this exceptional establishment, presents a chocolate creation as surprising as it is committed: the Oeuf Nichoir de Pâques. This unique work, a true tribute to nature and local craftsmanship, is an invitation to rediscover chocolate from a different angle, that of responsibility and beauty.
In a move that respects the environment, pastry chef Nicolas Multon chose to showcase the titmouse, a bird emblematic of the region, frequently seen on walks in the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park, where Villa René Lalique is based. This optical illusion is magnified by the use of premium, organic and fair-trade Valrhona chocolate.
Chef Multon didn't stop there. Aware of today's ecological challenges, he has decided to donate 15% of the profits from this sale to the LPO Alsace, an association dedicated to the protection of birds and biodiversity. This initiative is part of an eco-responsible approach that the pastry chef has been promoting for years, favoring the use of local and seasonal products.
Admirers of Lalique's savoir-faire will be delighted: the Oeuf Nichoir de Pâques is also inspired by the famous Champs-Elysées cup, with its satin-polished finish evoking the beauty and fragility of the natural world around us. Inside this 100% chocolate sculpture, gourmands will discover dark and milk chocolate bonbons, as well as eggs filled with Douglas fir ganache, all inspired by Lalique's Masque de Femme motif.
This exceptional piece, available in a numbered, limited edition, represents the perfect marriage between luxury gastronomy and environmental awareness. So I know what you're going to say: what does this have to do with Paris? Well, this unique egg is available not only at Villa René Lalique, but also at the Lalique boutique on Rue Royale in Paris. It costs 190 euros, weighs around 850 g and measures 30 x 15 cm.
This Easter Egg, a true chocolate masterpiece, illustrates the harmony possible between culinary art, excellent craftsmanship and respect for the environment. A delicacy like no other, to discover and enjoy, for a resolutely modern and responsible Easter.
