The Journées du Patrimoine is the not-to-be-missed September event in Paris and the surrounding region. It's a great way to discover our heritage treasures from a different angle, with a rich program of guided and self-guided tours, events and workshops designed for all ages, including the very young ! A wide range of venues, including museums, monuments and castles, major institutions, ministries and much more, are taking part. Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) deliver their share of unusual outings,exceptional openings and beautiful walks.

This time, we're taking you to Courbevoie , just behind the La Défense district (part of which lies within the commune). Located at the gateway to Paris and accessible by public transport, Courbevoie unveils itself during the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) through several tours organized in different parts of the town. Heritage Days 2024 at the Théâtre de Verdure - Parc de Bécon
Si Courbevoie m'était conté, a sound and light show on the history of Courbevoie, from antiquity to the present day.
Ten Courbevoisian associations came together to put on a show retracing, in seven scenes, the key events in our town's history. One hundred people worked on the show, which featured some thirty actors, extras and dancers. The dialogues, recounting historical facts, are enhanced by period music, song and dance.
With the associations: l'Acteur Studieux, aeio de scènes, les Baladins, la Clef des Chants, DAMES, le Grenier de Courbevoie, la Société Historique de Courbevoie, l'Harmonie Municipale, ma Compagnie, les Multibaladins.
With the participation of students from the Lycée des Métiers Jules Verne.

Heritage Days 2024 at the GCSMS de l'Union Belge in Courbevoie
In 2024, the Union Belge commemorates its involvement in the First World War. Guided tours retracing the history of the house are offered, as well as a continuous showing of period films to echo those shown to patients during the war.

Heritage Days 2024 at the Pavillon des Indes in Courbevoie
Exhibition by a Première class in the British international section at the Lycée Lucie Aubrac in Courbevoie.
The students worked with the city's Heritage and Museum department on a project to renew the exhibition rooms at the Pavillon des Indes.

Heritage Days 2024 at Saint-Maurice de Becon church
Presentation and tour of the Cavaillé-Coll organ at Saint-Maurice de Bécon, built in 1865 and listed as a historic monument.
Visitors can round off their visit with a concert at 4pm by organist François Eymet.
Between visits and presentations of the Cavaillé-Coll organ at 3pm and 5pm, you'll have the chance to hear the organ to the full in a varied program by organist François Eymet.
Works by Brahms, Daquin, Mozart, Strauss and Vivaldi.
Heritage Days 2024 at Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul church
Architect Louis Le Masson oversaw construction of the St-Pierre St-Paul church in 1790 and 1791. The building was restored in 1819 thanks to a major donation from the Duchess of Angoulême. Major works, directed by architect Jean-Baptiste Guénepin from 1868 to 1870, gave it its present dimensions. The church has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1971, and a new organ was built in 2011 under the direction of organ builder Bertrand Cattiaux.
