The Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres is taking part in the 41st edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, on September 21 and 22, 2024. For the duration of the weekend, the museum and its factory will be opening their doors to the general public, free of charge, to share their treasures and history with the curious.

Every year, thanks to the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), the people of Ile-de-France can visit thousands of different sites and discover the history of France, right down to the smallest detail. Castles, places of worship, places of power, museums, natural curiosities or architectural experiments, factories and workshops: the France of yesterday and today is revealed through these exceptional places.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres! Enter workshops rarely open to the public, learn the secrets of Sèvres porcelain manufacture and discover the making of daring works of art. Continuous guided tours throughout the weekend will give you the opportunity to explore the wide range of Sèvres know-how, still in use today since the 18th century.
Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics, from the earliest times to the present day, European and non-European ... Throughout the weekend, you'll be able to discover the masterpieces of the Musée national de céramique de Sèvres, with a presentation of archives from the graphic arts department, a presentation of works by the conservation department and free access to the collections!
