The Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres is opening its doors to the public free of charge for the Heritage Days on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2024. An opportunity to discover the heritage of the Manufacture royale de Sèvres.

The Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres is taking part in the 41st edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, on September 21 and 22, 2024. For the duration of the weekend, the museum and its factory will be opening their doors to the general public, free of charge, to share their treasures and history with the curious.

Discover the delicate art of porcelain and admire one of the skills that has made France's exceptional reputation for centuries. Let yourself be fascinated by the knowledge and techniques of the specialists and be introduced to the art of ceramics during this weekend of discovery. The Cité de la Céramique has planned a variety of activities for young and old alike, to immerse us fully in this artistic and artisanal world.

Every year, thanks to the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), the people of Ile-de-France can visit thousands of different sites and discover the history of France, right down to the smallest detail. Continuous guided tours throughout the weekend will give you the opportunity to explore the wide range of Sèvres know-how, still in use today since the 18th century.

Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics, from the earliest times to the present day, European and non-European ... Throughout the weekend, you'll be able to discover the masterpieces of the Musée national de céramique de Sèvres, with a presentation of archives from the graphic arts department, a presentation of works by the conservation department and free access to the collections!
