After the awards for the best organic bread in Île-de-France and the best baker in Hauts-de-Seine, discover the 2025 results of the competition for the best apple tart in Île-de-France! Organized by the Greater Paris Bakers' Union, the 2025 edition was held on November 4, and the winners were announced on November 7.
As always, there were many candidates, with 90 registered (business owners and apprentices). To decide between them, professionals and foodies had the difficult task of tasting the different apple pies and judging the quality of the pie crusts, shortcrust pastry, shortbread, and puff pastry, based on several criteria such as presentation, taste of the pastry, overall baking, flavor harmony, and how well they held together when cut.
After deliberation,Youssef Afantrousultimately won all the votes. His apple tart, which can be enjoyed at the Paris and Co bakeryinthe 14th arrondissement of the capital, is therefore the best in Île-de-France this year! The bakery had previously won the competition for the best flan in the Île-de-France region in 2021.
He is followed by Thierry Rabineau, whose bakery and pastry shop is located in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. Finally,Franck Lametfrom Maison Lamet in Alfortville inthe Val-de-Marne region takes third place on the podium.
In total, four Parisian bakeries and pastry shops feature in the Top 10 of this 2025 ranking of the best apple tarts in Île-de-France.
