Many people were concerned this lunchtime when they heard the sound of a fighter jet overhead, often reminiscent of an explosion due to its speed. Two Rafale fighter jets circled the capital, flying over the Yvelines region in particular, to make a stopover at Les Invalides, for a ceremony held in honor ofAdmiral Philippe de Gaulle, the general's eldest son, who died on Wednesday March 13, aged 102.
The ceremony, presided over by Emmanuel Macron, ended at the stroke of midday with a flyover by two Rafale fighter jets from the French Navy to pay tribute to his memory.
