Much appreciated by residents of the 17th arrondissement, the Promenade Pereire is to be extended as far as the 'Neuilly - Porte Maillot' station, following on from the existing promenade. Work has already begun and is scheduled to continue until the end of 2025.

If you're a regular visitor to the 17th arrondissement of Paris, not far from Place de la Porte Maillot, then you won't have missed this new construction project. Since January 2025, the section of boulevard Pereire between avenue des Ternes and Neuilly Porte Maillot station has been getting a facelift. The aim? To extend the existing Promenade Pereire, so popular with families and local residents alike.

The former parking lot on boulevard Pereire has also been demolished and transformed into a green space with lawns, pergolas and shrubberies. This new section will soon open onto a completely redesigned playground,"offering a greater variety of games for children, in addition to a ball field", it adds.

What about the progress of the revegetation work? The demolition and "deboning" of the parking lot has begun, and is scheduled to continue until the end of March 2025. Between July and September, the structures and flowerbeds will be laid out. Finally, planting will take place between November and December. If all goes according to plan, the worksite will be completed by the end of December 2025, offering a unified planted pathway from the Place du Maréchal Juin to Porte Maillot.

This part of Paris's 17th arrondissement has undergone major renovation work in recent years. Porte Maillot has been transformed into a square. The square in front of the Palais des Congrès is now planted with greenery and flowers, and over 500 trees have been planted in the surrounding area. Cycle paths have also been laid out, while the RER E and T3b tramways have been extended, now serving Porte Maillot.
