The Fête de la musique is back in Paris and all across France on June 21. All day and into the evening, musicians—amateurs and pros alike—take to the streets and stages to deliver live, free performances across the city. From street corners to bars and restaurants, and through concert halls, museums, cultural centers, and even institutions, live music takes over on June 21, delighting a flood of listeners.
Also notable for Paris are highlights like the 36h Saint-Eustache Festival, staged every year on June 20 and 21 at the Saint-Eustache Church, in celebration of Fête de la musique. Born twenty years ago from an idea by Saint-Eustache’s priest, the 36h Festival is a project carried by the parish community of Saint-Eustache. The concept? Over 36 hours—with a white night included—riffs, keyboards, beats and samples mingle with choral singing and organ, beneath the vaulted ceiling of the Halles Cathedral in Paris.
During their set, each group revisits a liturgical work of their choice (gospel, requiem, ave maria, psalm, negro spiritual...), bringing sacred music to life from an unusual angle.
Unfortunately for the regulars of this annual music event, the 36h Saint Eustache festival will not take place in 2026. That's what you can read on the festival's Instagram page.

The 36h Saint-Eustache festival marked its 20th edition in 2025, inviting for the occasion Hugo Jardin, AJA, Edward Barrow, Kyrie Kristmanson, Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard and YOM. In previous years, the event had notably hosted Léonie Pernet, Clara Ysé, Turzi, Flavien Berger, Bachar Mar Khalifé, Kid Francescoli, Hugh Coltman, Lisa Ducasse and Nina Versyp.
