If you're used to celebrating the Fête de la musique on June 21, then you're in for a treat! The famous and mythical musical event, both popular and festive, is back again this year all over France, to delight our eyes and above all our ears.
Every June 21, since its launch in 1982, musicians get together to make live music resound in the street, but also in parks and gardens, in museums, in cultural centers, institutions, churches, bars and restaurants... Every June 21, music takes center stage, whatever the genre: from rock to rap, jazz to blues, electro to reggae, classical to French variety... all musical styles are represented. And there's no end in sight to this tradition!
This year, the Fête de la Musique celebrates its 42nd edition, and looks forward to showering you with musical delights in Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region. If you live in Seine-Saint-Denis, you'll want to head for Épinay-sur-Seine. Every year, this Ile-de-France town welcomes talented artists to its Hôtel de Ville park.
So, after English disco-funk band Imagination in 2017, Magic System in 2018, Bénabar in 2019, 80s artists in 2021, Jean-Baptiste Guégan in 2022 and Jenifer in 2023, who has the honor of rocking this 2024 edition of the Fête de la musique? Well, on Friday June 21, 2024, the town of Épinay-sur-Seine hosts L'Héritage Goldman. A chance to (re)discover live some of Jean-Jacques Goldman's greatest songs, revisited by Erick Benzi, his famous producer and arranger. On stage, you'll find Michael Jones, as well as the singer's original musicians and artistic team, not forgetting artists from the new French scene!
During these two hours of music and performances, we imagine that Jean-Jacques Goldman's greatest hits will be sung that evening, such as " Il suffira d'un signe ", " Envole-moi ", " Là-bas ", " Je te donne ", " Encore un matin " and " Elle a fait un bébé toute seule ". Of course, this concert by L'Héritage Goldman on June 21 for the Fête de la musique 2024 is free and open to all.
On June 21, as every year for the Fête de la Musique, the Parc de l'Hôtel de Ville plays host to a major open-air concert, free and open to all. This year, it's L'Héritage Goldman who's inviting Épinay-sur-Seine!
