Every year, it's the same thing: the Quinzaine des Cinéastes succeeds in programming only quality films - an international selection, eclectic and free of all codes, and a real breath of fresh air on the Croisette. This year, 18 feature-length films from all over the world, by young and old, first-time and established filmmakers.
To open this 57th edition, the Quinzaine des Cinéastes selection committee pays tribute to Laurent Cantet, the French director who won the Palme d'Or in 2008 with Entre les murs and who sadly passed away last year, by programming his last film.
Enzo, the new film by Laurent Cantet and Robin Campillo, willopen the 2025 Quinzaine des Cinéastes.
The Quinzaine des Cinéastes ' review: "The 57th edition of the Quinzaine opens with an absolutely magnificent film by two great French filmmakers. The film's success is due to the incredible synergy between these two authors, and the valiant producer who brought it to fruition. It'sEnzo, the new film by Laurent Cantet and Robin Campillo, produced by Marie-Ange Luciani. It's a magnificent tale of adolescence about a completely elusive young man. It's a film that moved us, and I think there was no other place for it than to open this Fortnight. We're immensely proud of it."
Enzo will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The film will be released in French cinemas on September 17, 2025.
