Tick-tock, tick-tock... as the days go by, the tension among the nominees for the Victoires de la Musique continues to rise. Once again this year, numerous artists will have the chance to leave with one or more trophies. Best Female Artist, Revelation of the Year... Who will take home the awards? Mark your calendars for Friday, February 13, 2026, when the winners of this year's Victoires de la Musique will be announced. The ceremony will once again be broadcast live on France 2 and France Inter from the Seine Musicale.
In other news, and quite a significant update, Mika has been appointed Honorary President of the 41st edition of the Victoires de la Musique awards. He takes over the role from Alain Souchon, who was honored last year, and Zazie, who will hold the position in 2024.
Just a reminder that Mika will be performing at the Accor Arena in Paris on Monday, February 16, 2026—just three days after this year's Victoires de la Musique awards ceremony.
Since the start of his career, Mika has been racking up hits, including "Relax," "Grace Kelly," "Elle me dit," "Love Today," and "Lollipop." This year, the artist is back with a new album, titled "Hyperlove." Buzzed as "a futuristic pop record," the album is set to be released on January 23, 2026.
Although Mika has never taken home a Victoire de la Musique award, he was nonetheless nominated in 2012 for Song of the Year with his hit "Elle me dit." Over the years, Mika has earned numerous accolades, including three awards at the World Music Awards, the International Revelation trophy at the NRJ Music Awards, and the British Breakthrough Artist award at the Brit Awards.
While fans in France will have to wait to see him perform live this winter, Mika will be stepping onto the stage at La Seine Musicale on February 13th as the Guest of Honor President for the 41st edition of the Victoires de la Musique awards ceremony!
