Ranger returns to Paris at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens from May 31 to June 19, 2024. Pascal Rambert 's one-man show was written especially for Jacques Weber. The play has already toured throughout France, Belgium and Switzerland .
The play Ranger tells the story of a man who puts his affairs in order before disappearing. It's 11:34 p.m. in Hong Kong, and a man, played by Jacques Weber, has lost his taste for life since the death of his beloved. In a one-man show, the man recounts his love and his current suffering since the loss. He's won a literary prize, but he doesn't want it. He doesn't want to be part of this world anymore. What should be a sad show is heard as a love song.
Actor, director and screenwriter, Jacques Weber won the 1991 César for Best Supporting Actor for Cyrano de Bergerac. Pascal Rambert, a friend of Jacques Weber 's, wanted to write a text for him, and the text seems to have won over both the audience and the performer.
Ranger can be seen at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens from May 31 to June 19, 2024 in Paris's 2nd arrondissement.
