The Chapelle des Petits-Augustins at the Beaux-Arts de Paris is taking part in the Art Basel Paris fair, with a free, off-site exhibition on view from October 14 to 20, 2024.

The month of October is a real feast for all art lovers. In addition to the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event, the Architecture Days, the Châteaux Night... We take advantage of the international contemporary art fair, Art Basel Paris. This major annual event allows us to discover hundreds of galleries and artists from all over the world, as well as to admire exhibitions and installations free of charge.

Thanks to its "hors les murs" (outside the walls) programming, contemporary art is dispersed and installed throughout the capital. This week-long event brings art within everyone's reach. This year, from October 14 to 20, 2024, you'll be able to take advantage of an original, free exhibition, organized in the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

This 2024 edition features the work of French artist Jean-Charles de Quillacq. The sculptor takes us into his surprising world. The artist transforms everyday objects, raw or organic materials into singular works of art. He explores the boundaries between the abstract, the real and the unreal. Fascinated by the human body, its representations, effects and reactions, he doesn't hesitate to stage himself in his installations.

For this Art Basel Paris event, Jean-Charles de Quillacq presents several series of works in the majestic setting of the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins, grouped together in an exhibition entitled "A real boy". On view are various sculptures and installations, as well as his film made in 2023 at the Académie de France in Rome.

Don't miss this free exhibition at the Beaux-Arts de Paris! And find out more about the Art Basel Paris 2024 off-site program:
