The MAC VAL museum in Vitry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne, is dedicated to contemporary art. Its permanent collections are packed with paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations of all kinds, testifying to the richness and diversity of this art form. Located within easy reach of the metro and streetcar, this little-known museum should appeal not only to lovers ofcontemporary art, but also to all those curious enough to discover art and the world in a different way.
This cultural institution regularly takes part in popular events such as the Nuit des Musées (Museum Night) and the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days). This autumn, the museum is also offering a special event. From October 17 to 19, 2025, the MAC VAL is taking part in the Journées nationales de l'Architecture.
The aim of this French event is to bringarchitecture to the general public. It's an opportunity to showcase the different professions available in this field, the great achievements and architectural treasures of the region, as well as the artistic, social and technical aspects of architecture.
During the Journées de l'architecture, several museums, schools and places of interest are offering tours and events for visitors. In Paris and the Île-de-France region, dozens of sites are organizing special events during this themed weekend. Reservations are recommended!

An architectural walk, led by a MAC VAL lecturer and a guest from the world of architecture, to (re)discover the museum's uniqueness as a place, its lines, its spaces, its ambiences and even its hidden places to gain height.
