As part of the official celebrations of the 80ᵉ anniversary of the Liberation and to mark its new season entitled "War and Peace", the Établissement Public de Coopération Culturelle du Château de La Roche-Guyon presents "Monuments Men", an exhibition devoted to cultural and artistic heritage in wartime, and more specifically to the story of this "battalion of art experts" attached to the American and British Allied troops. Their mission: to protect and prevent the destruction of Europe's cultural heritage during the Second World War and, in the aftermath of the conflict, to return looted works of art.
