The Fondation de Coubertin museum presents a temporary exhibition exploring the sculptural work of Polish-born artist Maria Papa Rostkowska (1923-2008). A close associate of Jean Arp, Lucio Fontana and the Nouvelle École de Paris, this sculptor was introduced to terracotta in Albisola (Tuscany, Italy), before developing a passion for marble, her preferred material. Using traditional techniques, she cuts marble in the Italian quarries of the Henraux marble factory in Querceta, a hotbed of international contemporary sculpture.
