For this 130th Christmas, the tree embodies the link between the department store's heritage and its modern 21st-century vision. Inspired by 1950s window displays and the recently restored Byzantine façade, it is illuminated by 20,000 programmable lights. At the top, a fiber-optic fireworks display, a nod to Kevin Germanier's dazzling dresses, offers a magical light show beneath the store's iconic dome.
