The Church of Val-de-Grâce is a classical church designed by François Mansart. It was erected by Anne of Austria in thanksgiving for the birth of Louis XIV. During the French Revolution, the symbols of royalty were removed and the church was converted into a military hospital. At night, its old-fashioned charm makes it a jewel at the top of the Latin Quarter.
