There are countless bars in the Marais. But Le Komptoir isn't really a bar like the others. It's not a pub, but it serves no less than 11 different beers, including 7 on draught. It's not a gay bar either, but it's gay-friendly. It's still not a restaurant, but you can still get a good meal here, whether in snack or bistro mode. And it's even less of a dating club (friendly, or even more so), but the atmosphere is so cordial that customers who arrive alone rarely end the evening solo.
