Le jardin du Pré Catelan - 10 Photos

Théophile Catelan, Louis XIV's hunting captain, gave his name to this 8-hectare park in the Bois de Boulogne. The name is associated with the famous restaurant next door. The park was transformed into an amusement park in the 19th century, where people came to drink milk and listen to concerts. All that remains of this era is the green theater known as Shakespeare's Garden. Souvenir of the park after a show in the Jardin de verdure.
