Catacombs special night: enjoy a last evening underground before the site closes

Before closing its doors for several months for renovations, the Catacombs are inviting Parisians to experience one last night underground, during a unique nocturne on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Reservations are now open.

Paris Catacombs closed for restoration, new route to be discovered in 2026

The famous Catacombs of Paris are launching a historic renovation program, a major project that will run from 2023 to spring 2026. The site will be closed to the public from November 3, 2025, until spring 2026.

Coronavirus: Museums of the City of Paris shut down until further notice

Because of coronavirus, Paris Musées has announced to shut down museums managed by the city of Paris until further notice, naming the Paris Catacombs, the Musée d’Art Moderne, the Petit Palais, the Musée de la Libération de Paris – Musée du Général Leclerc – Musée Jean Moulin, the Musée Cernuschi, the Musée Bourdelle, the Musée Zadkine, the Musée de la Vie Romantique and the Maison de Balzace. A decision made following the announcement made by the Prime Minister to shut down all premises non vital to the life of the Nation.
