The latest coronavirus resisting pockets fell! After the Musée Jacquemart-André it’s time for Paris Musées to announce the closure of all premises in Paris until further notice after the announcement made this Saturday March 14, 2020 by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe as for the closure of every non-essential place to the life of the Nation.

Are then closed until further notice the Musée d'Art Moderne de la ville de Paris, the Musée de la Libération de Paris - Musée du général Leclerc - Musée Jean Moulin, the Petit Palais, the Musée Cernuschi, the Musée Bourdelle, le Musée Zadkine, the Musée de la Vie Romantique, the Maison de Balzac as well as the Paris Catacombs. Please note the Musée Carnavalet, also managed by Paris Musées, isn’t included here as the museum is closed for renovations.
The museums of the city join the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou, the Musée du Quai Branly and more. No details as for their reopenings have been shared but the Prime Minister told that restaurants, bars, night clubs, movie theaters and show venues and museums were shut down until April 15th 2020, according to a decree released on March 15, 2020 in the Journal Officiel. A reopening that may happen that day if all signals are good as for the virus eradication.
