After the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay or even the Musée du Quai Branly, it’s time for the Arab World Institute is closing due to the coronavirus pandemic from March 14, 2020. An announced made in a press release shortly after Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced to ban all public gatherings of over 100 people in a confined place.
As for entertainments and events at the museum, they are also cancelled without details about a potential adjournment or not. Note that entertainments on Saturday March 14 are sustained excluding the L'Heure du Conte with Teresa Amoon, postponed to a later date. A genuine hecatomb for Parisian museums that are announcing one by one to shut down indefinitely in compliance with the governmental instructions.
Note that other museums are also closing such as the Musée du Quai Branly, the Musée Guimet, the Cinémathèque Française and even the Atelier des Lumières. We remind you that if you want to go out or if you have to, be careful, friends, and take precautions, respect health recommendations we’ve listed here.
