Bad news for Mickey Mouse, Marvel, Star Wars, and other franchises owned by the big-eared company! Disney has announced it will close again because of the new lockdown starting October 29, 2020, after it reoepning in July following a first 3-month lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic. It will remain closed until February 12, 2021 included. A closure that is a hard blow for all those who wanted to go there soon or who booked a stay by the end of the year.
How to postpone or get your tickets or stay refunded? The park said online there were several options: you can postpone your stay and make a new reservation. To do so, contact the booking department and choose the new date past April 1, 2021 (or the Holiday break 2020, on the condition parks can reopen). The amound you pre-paid for your booking will be transfered to the new one and Disneyland Paris will refund the difference if the amount costs less than what you paid first. Yet, if it is more expensive, you will have to pay the difference. Note that if you wish to cancel your visit, your booking will be fully repaid.
If you booked a Séjour Irrésistible, for an arrival planned when it is closed, you can postpone your stay for dates between February 13 and March 31, 2021. If you booked the same stay in the same price period than your previous booking, the same price will be applied, or you will have to pay the difference (or have the difference paid back).
If you booked a standard stay for an arrival planned when it is closed, you cna postpone your stay for dates between February 13 and March 31, 2021. The amound of this new booking will be adapted accordingly. Note that you can enjoy the same price for your new booking if it is made before November 24, 2020 for an arrival planned between April 1 and June 30, 2021 (on the condition your booking is for an equivalent price period). You can make a new booking from December 3 for the implemented price conditions.
As for tickets booked for parks, Disneyland Paris has said they will fully repay all dated tickets valid for the closure period. If you hold a dateless ticket, it will remain valid with the same access conditions to the parks and validity period (depending on the type of ticket) when parks reopen. If you own a dated "Group dated Tickets" booked via a Tour Operator and for a tour during the closure period, you are invited to contact your tour operator. And for more details on repayment conditions, click here. As for yearly Passports, their validity will be automatically extended with the number of days the parks are closed for.
For the record, it is the frouth time in its history than the Parisian theme park had to close: after the 1999 storm, the 2015 terror attacks, and the first lockdown between March and June 2020. The closure will enable works (withing Disneyland parks, and also the upcoming extending of the Walt Disney Studios) to go on within the resort, the construction industry being able to work during the new lockdown.
