To make social distancing easier amid the health crisis, starting from Thursday June 17, 2021, Disneyland Paris reopens their tool to avoid queuing, the Standby Pass. Available on the resort’s mobile app, it applies to all popular attractions at certain hours during the day… Let us tell you more about it!

No more endless queuing to go on a ride! Starting Thursday June 17, 2021 Disneyland Paris relaunches their Standby Pass, a digital tool to avoid queuing as much as possible on the resort’s official application, and applying to the most popular rides in both parks, Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios. With this Standby Pass, you will get to book a time slot and show up at due time and the beginning of the standard queue (a bit like for Fast Pass). The idea? Avoiding to long queues and make the most of the time you get before boarding and enjoy more rides.

The other goal? “Enabling hygiene and safety conditions for visitors and Cast Members”, as well as moving forward in the digital transformation of the resort. This new service is said to be launched first for Crush’s Coaster, then be extended to other popular rides such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s flight, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Autopia, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Ratatouille: The Adventure.

How does it work? You have to go to Disneyland Paris mobile app, create a Disney account (if you do not have one already), save your tickets or Annual Pass on your account and click on “Book a Standby Pass” and follow the instructions. When you get to the queue, you only have to show your smartphone with your reservation (a QR code to show to Cast Members you can find in the digital wallet on the app, under the “profile” tab). Note you can save several tickets/Annual Passes on your account and avoid each people in your group/home has to book their own Standby Pass.

This service is only available at certain times (you do not need it in the early morning or at the end of the day), for people localized in the parks, and for one ride at the time. When the service is activated, you can only access the ride with a Standby Pass (no more classic queues, pass mandatory to everyone). Each Standby Pass includes a 30 minute-time slot during which you can head to the ride you chose. In other words, the best way to make the most of your time in the parks and keep up with the health guidelines implemented!
