French actress, screenwriter and director Isabelle Nanty was born in Bar-le-Duc on January 22, 1962. First brought to public attention by Tatie Danielle (1990), she went on to play a string of outstanding supporting roles, notably in Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain and Astérix et Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre. Her career extended to theater and directing, with Le Bison (and its neighbor Dorine) in 2003. Famous for her role in the saga Les Tuche, she is a key figure in French comedy cinema.
