Work is progressing well on the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral site. The next step is the return of the emblematic spire to the top of the building, announced for the end of the year, "before Christmas".
After 3.5 years of renovations following the fire of the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, the Pont au Double recently reopened to pedestrians to access the landmark and Île de la Cité more easily.
After Notre-Dame de Paris caught fire, Mgr. Patrick Chauvet has announced the construction of a temporary wooden cathedral in front of Notre-Dame in order to welcome believers during the renovation of the cathedral.
