Place du Trocadéro: a historic landmark in Paris and a site for the 2024 Olympics

Located in the 16th arrondissement, the Place du Trocadéro is lined with numerous monuments and cultural sites. It attracts tourists and lifelong Parisians alike, thanks to its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. From July 26 to August 11, the Trocadéro is also an Olympic venue for the Paris 2024 Games.

The surroundings of the Eiffel Tower will be entirely rethought and redesigned in the coming years. This Tuesday February 8, the Conseil de Paris has given the green light to the redevelopment project involving the Pont d’Iéna, the Place du Trocadéro, the Quai Branly, while excluding the northern part of the Champ-de-Mars.
