July 14, France's national holiday, is traditionally marked by spectacular fireworks displays. However, more and more towns are opting for drone shows instead. This is the choice made by the town ofAchères once again this year.

Safety, respect for the environment, reduced noise pollution, new creativity and different logistics, not to mention lower fire risks, drone shows are all the rage, and it's a safe bet that they'll continue to multiply over the next few years.

This Saturday, July 13, Achères celebrates its national holiday with a rich program of events.

• From 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, the Place Simone Veil will be the scene of numerous activities, including a face-painting stand and a DJ area. The Indigo parking lot will be free of charge from 9:00 to 11:00 pm for the occasion.
  
  
• Elected representatives and departments will be handing out glow-sticks before a stroll to the Lisière Saint-Jean, where a drone show, never seen before in the city, will start at 11:00 pm, forming the highlight of the evening.

Achères, located in the Yvelines department, is a charming town with a rich historical and natural heritage. Nestled on the edge of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye forest and crossed by the Seine, this commune offers a peaceful, leafy setting, ideal for walks and outdoor activities.
